3D printed Phantoms developed in CLUES

  • For the generation of images within the CLUES-framework anthropomorphic phantoms and lesion like objects are being developed with x-ray transmission and scatter properties similar to humans.

  • 3D printing is used as a tool to fabricate anthropomorphic phantoms and lesion like objects.

3D printed lung vessel phantom (CT)

The 3D printed object simulates the lung vessel tree and is embedded in a PMMA holder that mimics the thorax. This phantom is designed for clinical image quality assessment in chest CT imaging.
